Red Sea / Sharm el Sheikh / Far Garden

  Description

Far Garden lies in the northernmost section of a magnificent bay directly north of Naama Bay. This place differs from the others in the bay, since there is a series of large madreporic pinnacles rising from a cliff, which lies between the ledge along the reef and the drop-off, which becomes progressively steeper in an eastward direction. One of the routes leads you past stocks of corals, that show an extraordinary development of hard and soft corals.

A multitude of reef fishes, small Anthias (swallowtail seaperch), Lionfish, Red Sea fusilier, etc., can be observed. If you continue further in an easterly direction, you will reach a cave that opens out at a depth of 5 meters, and is harbored by a large school of glassfish. This cave can also be, in favorable conditions, the starting point for a drift dive. If you descend diagonally, 30 meters away from the boat, you will find a large overhang. This large cave, which lies at a depth of 45 meters, opens its gates here. After exploring, the approximate 10 meter deep cave, with the name Cathedral, resurfacing begins along the cape.
