Red Sea / Sharm el Sheikh / Ras Mohammed / Eel Garden

  Description

Eel Garden is situated somewhat south of Jackfish Alley and is considered an easy area to dive. At the beginning of the sand palteau, where a relatively uninteresting cave can be found, starts an impressive sand flow. The middle section of the plateau is inhabited by a colony of Garden eels. This species can sometimes reach a length of more than 80 centimeters. These creatures must be approached with extreme caution, since they are very shy and will withdraw immediately back into their holes at the first sign of danger.
